Accessibility

Housing information should be usable by everyone. If something on this site gets in your way, tell us and we’ll fix it.

What we’re aiming for

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We’re not claiming a formal audit or certification — we’re telling you the standard we’re working to and inviting you to hold us to it.

What’s been done

  • Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order on every page
  • Text and background colors checked for contrast
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, forms and expandable sections
  • Form fields with visible, properly associated labels — not placeholder-only inputs
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
  • Responsive layouts that reflow rather than requiring horizontal scrolling, down to small phone widths
  • Reduced-motion preferences respected: if your device asks for less animation, this site honors it
  • Data tables with proper header cells, scrollable inside their own container so the page itself never scrolls sideways

What we know isn’t perfect

Being honest is more useful than claiming compliance:

  • Some images carried over from the previous version of this site still need better alternative text.
  • Video content is being added over time. Captions and transcripts will accompany it, but not every video will have them the day it goes up.
  • Third-party content we link to — county records, builder sites, market data providers — is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know — and we’d rather hear about it than not.

Please tell us the page and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days, and if something is blocking you from getting information you need, we will give it to you another way — by phone, by email, or in person — while we fix the underlying problem.

Fair housing

We are committed to the letter and the spirit of the Fair Housing Act and the Equal Opportunity Act. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin — and under Florida law, this also extends to the protections in Chapter 760 of the Florida Statutes.

Straight answers and real representation for people buying and selling homes across Central Florida — resale, new construction, and everything in between.
